The parliamentary auditorium took on a new look on Wednesday: all the seats of the deputies were occupied by 100 schoolchildren from Moldova living abroad. Speaker Igor Grosu shared this news on his Facebook page. These schoolchildren took part in the camp “D.O.R.” (Diaspora. Origins. Returns), which took place these days.
Igor Grosu said that the young guests were interested in learning about studies, career, daily activities, and even the regrets of a politician. Grosu emphasized that a good deputy should be active in society, attentive and sociable, but the most important quality is honesty in dealing with people.
The speaker expressed his admiration for the young and interesting people who, despite living abroad, have a perfect command of the Romanian language. He is sure that these young people are the future of the country.
Igor Grosu also emphasized that he discussed with the participants in the meeting an emotionally significant draft law related to the Romanian language, as well as Moldova’s integration into the European Union.
