
For the first time in history, the Moldovan Parliament will hold a meeting of the heads of the EU and foreign affairs commissions of the EU member states on Saturday, 4 November. The event, called “United4Moldova”, will take place on the platform of the Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration. The information was provided by the Public Relations Department of the Legislative Assembly and reported on mouldpres.md.
Within this meeting, parliamentarians from different EU member states, representatives of the European Parliament and diplomats will gather to discuss Moldova’s European perspective and how the country’s efforts in the European integration process can be supported.
The meeting is expected to open with the participation of prominent personalities, including President Maia Sandu, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean, the chairperson of the Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration, Doina Gherman, and the head of the EU Delegation to Moldova, Janis Mažeix.
The discussions at the meeting will be divided into three sessions covering the following topics:
1. European integration: achievements, actions, necessary steps and lessons for Moldova.
2. economic development and energy security.
3. Sustainability and security.
The participants of the meeting will present their views on the current situation in Moldova, the achievements in the EU integration process and the challenges that the country faces. Ultimately, a decision will be made based on discussions and debates.
