
Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu met British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, who was in transit in Moldova. “We discussed how to improve the strategic partnership between Moldova and the UK, with a special focus on the benefits for our diaspora. We discussed important things like mutual recognition of documents and reducing roaming charges. These steps bring real benefits to our community in the UK,” emphasised Popescu.
“We also emphasised the importance of joint efforts in fighting corruption and dealing responsibly with those who harm our state and citizens. Strengthening ties with the UK plays a key role in enhancing the sustainability and security of our country,” the deputy prime minister emphasised.
