Moldova achieved great success at the European Karate Championship held in Wrocław, Poland, from May 19th to 21st. Despite strong competition from other European countries, the Moldovan team managed to win 10 podium places.
Maria Chebanu, Andrei Kasian, Nikita Egorov, and Ekaterina Mojaeva claimed the first-place positions. Egor Chebanu and Anastasia Shvetsova secured the second-place spots. Viaceslav Chebotar, Mihail Stog, Anastasia Jozan, and Laurentiu Bechet obtained the third-place positions.
These outstanding results are a testament to the long-term work of the coaches and the dedicated training of the athletes. It is worth noting that Moldova ranked 5th in the overall team medal standings, which demonstrates the high level of achievement of the entire team.
