Moldova has a new online platform, which is a publicly accessible depository of financial information. This resource provides detailed data from the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank, the State Tax Service, the Court of Accounts, as well as reports and audits of various enterprises and companies.
The portal was created with financial support from the Swedish government and the Swedish Financial Corporation (IFC). At a briefing on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalisation Dumitru Alaiba said that this is another step of Moldova towards digitalisation, which has become a priority goal of the government.
He emphasised that the focus is on the development of the economy, transparency and accessibility of financial information. The Public Depository provides all the necessary information on companies’ financial reports and audits.
This innovation also contributes to increasing the level of confidence of foreign investors and external partners in Moldova. The users have free access to up-to-date financial data.
The minister thanked the Government of Sweden and the IFC Corporation for their assistance in the creation of this public depository of financial information.
