During a television speech, the leader of the Our Party party said that the President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, is only imitating a fight against the authorities, referring to previous times when ex-leader Plahotniuc did this. It is alleged that Dodon, in order to avoid criminal prosecution in the Energocom case, betrays his deputies from the PSRM party, who are against coalitions with PAS and local advisers. In addition, it is believed that Dodon’s participation in the presidential elections will help current President Maia Sandu win the second round and retain the post of head of state. There is also sharp criticism of the briefing by the director of the Information and Security Service (ISS), Alexandru Musteata, with the assertion that this agency is controlled from the outside, and his statements are an attempt to ban political activity in the country.
