Today, December 24, Maia Sandu begins her second and final term as president. The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Palace of the Republic and will gather around 500 guests, including representatives from parliament, the Constitutional Court, and other sectors.
The ceremony will begin with the arrival of official guests, such as Prime Minister Dorin Recean, Constitutional Court Chair Domnica Manole, and Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.
At 11:00, Maia Sandu will arrive to take the oath during a joint session of parliament and the Constitutional Court.
Afterward, she will lay a wreath at the statue of Stephen the Great and head to the presidency, where she will be greeted with honors by the Presidential Orchestra and the Honor Guard.
