This was announced by government spokesperson Daniel Wode, who unveiled the “Come Home for Christmas” campaign. The government calls on local administrations to use traditions and local artists to organise winter festivities in every town and village.
“Christmas doesn’t belong to Chisinau, it doesn’t belong to the government, it doesn’t belong to the mayor’s office. Christmas is organised by local administrations for the local population,” government spokesman Daniel Voda stressed.
Earlier, the Chisinau mayor’s office asked the government to jointly organise winter holidays in the capital.
