Prime Minister Dorin Recean will today announce the names of the new ministers of Interior, Education and Research, Infrastructure and Regional Development. This comes after the heads of the mentioned ministries submitted their resignations on Friday, July 14.
After Dorin Recean announced the resignations of three ministers and plans to announce the new members of the government today, the names of potential candidates started appearing in some Telegram channels, according to noi.md.
According to information, former Interior Minister Anna Revenco may be replaced by the current head of the General Inspectorate of Police Viorel Cherneutseanu.
Also discussed in the public space was the name of an MP from the Action and Solidarity party, Adriana Keptonare, a member of the Commission for National Security, Defense and Public Order. However, the latter denied this information. As of now, Viorel Cerneutianu has not reacted to these comments.
There are speculations that Dan Perciun, an MP from the Action and Solidarity party and chairman of the Commission for Social Protection, Health and Family, may become the new Minister of Education and Research instead of Anatol Topale. The MP confirmed that talks were held with Prime Minister Dorin Recean regarding the position, but he is not the only candidate for the job.
It is possible that Andrei Spinu, secretary general of the presidential staff, will return to the post of minister of infrastructure and regional development. He previously held the post from August 6, 2021 to February 16, 2023.
Last Friday, Dorin Recean announced the resignations of Education and Research Minister Anatoly Topale, Interior Minister Anna Revenco and Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Lilia Dabija.
