Last night, August 4, Cimishlia police received a report of a traffic accident that occurred at the exit of Satul Nou village.
Initial indications are that the driver of the Mercedes decided to overtake another vehicle, but did not check that it would do so safely, and as a result collided with a go-cart that was traveling towards him.
According to information received at the scene, the 38-year-old driver died at the scene of the accident. A 46-year-old man and two women in the go-cart were taken to the Chimishli District Hospital for medical attention.
Police have now launched an investigation to find out the full circumstances of the accident. We await further updates from the police on the incident.
