The event took place on Saturday, June 19. A 24-year-old man visited the town of Hincesti to visit his ex-wife of 26 years. During the conflict between them, which happened at their home, the man took a kitchen knife and attacked the woman in front of their 5-year-old child. Neighbors, having witnessed what was happening, intervened in the situation. Soon the man went outside and continued to use the knife, stabbing himself several times. These actions were also visible to those around him.
An ambulance arrived on the scene and transported the woman to the hospital in serious but stable condition. She was diagnosed with multiple wounds to her neck, back and ribs.
The young man is reportedly deceased and this was confirmed by the medical team.
