
They violated the rules that were established during the fishing ban, as well as the rules for the border area. The border police in the city of Cahul noticed these violators when they were fishing on Lake Manta. They also discovered and removed nets that the fishermen had left in the water for several hundred meters.
It turned out that these men live in the village of Manta, in the Cahul district. They had a boat and three nets with a total length of 450 meters. They managed to catch about 25 kilograms of fish of various species.
Representatives of the Cahul Environmental Inspection were notified about the incident. The men were fined 600 lei each for violating the rules of the border area. Additionally, a report will be prepared for illegal fishing.
