The “Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Programme”, funded by the European Union and the Government of Moldova, was launched in Moldova. The project, implemented by the Moldovan Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), aims to support the financial and non-financial development of women’s entrepreneurship. The aim is to increase the number of women entrepreneurs and improve the economic performance of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The programme provides step-by-step support to future and existing women entrepreneurs by offering grant-based financial assistance to start-up and growing companies. The programme also offers e-commerce access and technical support including training, counselling and mentoring. In addition, the programme aims to promote women’s entrepreneurship through media, events and conferences. The programme, which has a budget of 30 million lei for three years, including a 24-month monitoring period, is open to both individuals and companies. It is a continuation of the successful EU project “Women in Business”, which financed 762 women’s businesses between 2016 and 2022, totalling 114.4 million lei.
