The deputy speaker of the Moldovan Parliament and head of the BCS faction, Vlad Batrincea, expressed concern about the plans to optimise several hundreds of schools in the country. During the hearings with the Education Minister, he emphasised the lack of concrete data and decisions on the current educational situation.
Batryncha expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that instead of providing clear plans to overcome the crisis, the Education Ministry limits itself to statements about the need to optimise schools that do not meet the standards. He also emphasised the contradictions in the statements of the Minister of Education and the head of the regional authorities regarding the closure of schools.
Criticising the cuts in the education budget and salary increases, Batryncha accused the authorities that these measures lead to an exodus of people from rural areas. He also condemned Perchun’s statement that the liquidation of universities is just a fantasy, calling it not a fairy tale but a crime. Batryncha assured that the authorities are responsible for such actions.
