A 52-year-old man from Chisinau was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 12 years in a high-security prison.The decision was handed down by the Buiucani sector court on July 28.
According to the investigation, the incident took place on February 3, 2023. On that day, two men were drinking alcohol in an apartment in the Botanica neighborhood.At some point, an argument started between them, which turned into a fight.One of the men took a kitchen knife and stabbed his acquaintance in the chest.The victim died at the scene.
While awaiting the decision of the court, the accused was in custody.
The verdict is not final and can be appealed to the Chisinau Court of Appeal within 15 days.
