Last night, April 25, around 10:30 p.m., parents called police saying that their 8-year-old son had shot himself and died.
When law enforcers arrived at the scene, they found out that the parents had gone out, leaving the boy alone at home. When they returned, they found the child’s body and immediately called police.
A forensic expert examined the breathless body of the child, and specialized departments of the technical-criminal center and forensic medical examination were called to the scene to clarify all the circumstances.
After inspection, it became clear that the gun “Baikal 442”, legally owned by the boy’s father, was stored in a safe. It is likely that the boy found the key and gained access to the weapon.
The police launched an investigation.
