The leader of Our Party claims that Moldovan citizens overpaid Moldovagaz more than 600 million lei in 2023. According to him, gas tariffs were inflated and people illegally took huge sums out of their pockets. The economic agent even applied to Moldovagaz, claiming that he had overpaid six million lei for gas last year.
The party leader stressed that, according to the experts’ data, the expenses for the purchase, transport and distribution of gas should be no more than 11.65 lei. He promises to make public all the details and says that other economic agents and citizens can also make similar claims.
The head of Moldovagaz did not confirm, but also did not deny these claims, noting that all the calculations are made in accordance with the legislation. Gas tariffs will be discussed with the national energy regulation agency. Currently, household consumers pay from 12 to 18.06 lei per cubic metre of gas, depending on their energy vulnerability.
