Ilan Shor, an oligarch who was sentenced to 15 years in prison, announced on live TV about his imminent return to Moldova. During the speech, Shor emphasized that his return would be an unpleasant surprise for the country’s current leadership, as agora.md notes.
“Grosu will not be able to rejoice because as soon as I return, a quick trip to prison cell No. 13 awaits him,” Shor said.
The former deputy also claims that all misunderstandings related to his case will be resolved in the near future.
Ilan Shor was finally sentenced to 15 years in prison in April this year, and his seized assets are to be confiscated in favor of the state for more than five billion lei. It is important to note that Shor, without pleading guilty, left Moldova in June 2019.
