This was reported by the electricity supplier FEE-Nord. According to this source, the situation is related to the state-owned enterprise Acva-Nord, which has accumulated debts of more than LE 35.5 million for the period from December 2022 to July 2023.
“FEE-Nord is aware of the difficulties faced by the enterprise financially. However, it should be emphasized that the debts accumulated so far affect our ability to provide electricity and may cause problems with electricity supply for the residents of the northern region of Moldova,” the company said in an official statement, cited by the rupor.md resource.
FEE-Nord urges Acva-Nord to take the current situation seriously and to cooperate to find viable solutions.
“It is important for all of us to take measures aimed at preventing negative impacts on electricity supply. This is necessary to create a sustainable and reliable environment for all consumers,” emphasizes the electricity supplier.
