A Border Police officer linked to the accident in Bricani in which a 54-year-old woman died is under temporary detention. At first, the prosecutors of the Bričany District Prosecutor’s Office asked the Edinec court to impose a measure of restraint in the form of provisional arrest for 30 days. However, the Edinec court granted part of the prosecutor’s office’s request and the decision was limited to 15 days.
According to the Criminal Code, such acts are punishable by 3 to 7 years’ imprisonment and deprivation of the right to drive vehicles.
