Slovenian President Natasa Pirtz Musar expressed strong support for Moldova’s European path during a meeting with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu. Discussing the latest developments in the country and in the region, they focused on the public relations department of the legislative forum.
Igor Grosu emphasised that the Moldovan votes in the last three elections clearly express the aspiration to become part of the European Union. He highlighted the progress in Moldova’s legislative process, but also emphasised the dangers such as hybrid warfare, Russian interference in the elections and the resistance of corrupt groups in the justice reform process. Nevertheless, Grosu emphasised that the country continues to adopt laws to ensure sustainability in economy, energy and security.
Both interlocutors agreed to closer co-operation between the two countries in the fields of cybersecurity, environmental protection and sharing experiences in the European Union accession negotiation process. Grosu emphasised that the visits of the two presidents confirm the existence of reliable partners and a sense of solidarity.
