The Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) today, 5 October, presented in Parliament a vote of dissatisfaction against the government led by Dorin Recean. The CCS MPs expressed their dissatisfaction at the plenary session, stressing that the state of emergency, which has been in force in Moldova for more than two years, affects the economy and citizens’ purchasing power. The decrease in the prices of cereals and fruits is also a concern, especially for farmers.
According to parliamentary rules, a vote of no confidence can be proposed by at least 26 deputies and will be debated within 14 days of submission. A minimum of 51 votes is required to dismiss the government, but the opposition does not yet have such a majority.
