Fire in an apartment building in Chisinau: the attic is engulfed in flames
In the city of Chisinau there was again a fire that started in the attic of an apartment building. The flames engulfed the upper part of the multi-storey building on Pajurii Street. Images released to the media show intense flames surrounding the building and thick black smoke spreading around.
Firefighters were reportedly called to the scene. Representatives of the State Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (SES) provided additional information. A call to the 112 emergency call service about the fire on 13/1 Pajurij Street came in at 12:27. According to the information, the flames broke out on the roof of a residential apartment building. To extinguish the fire were involved 8 calculations of rescuers and firefighters.
Service GICHS reported that the fire managed to limit the fire by 13:02. At present, firefighters are actively working to completely extinguish the fire.
There was no information about casualties as a result of the incident. The causes and circumstances of the fire are to be clarified by experts and specialists.
