The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has published fresh maximum prices for gasoline and diesel fuel, which will come into force on July 27.
According to ANRE, the price of 95 gasoline will increase by 10 bani and will amount to 25 lei 24 bani per liter. The price of diesel fuel will increase by 4 bani to 21 lei 13 bani per liter.
The agency reports that Platts international quotations for gasoline and diesel continue to rise. A cut in oil supplies from Saudi Arabia and Russia has led to higher prices this month.
In early July, Riyadh announced it would extend its production cuts by 1 million bpd through August, while Russian Federation decided to cut exports by 500,000 bpd. At the same time, the Russian Energy Ministry said it would cut exports by 2.1 million tons in the third quarter of 2023.
According to ANRE’s statement, these restrictions have already started to affect oil product inventories on foreign markets, which further affected prices.
