A horrific incident occurred in Kriulia district when a man attacked his wife and mother-in-law. He first hit his mother-in-law on the head with an axe and then stabbed her. He also caused severe injuries to his wife.
The incident occurred at around 23:00 when a 59-year-old woman from Draslicheni village contacted the police, reporting that her husband had attacked her with an axe, striking her in the head.
Police arrived at the scene and found that during an argument, the man took an axe and hit his wife on the head. He then proceeded to attack his mother-in-law, striking her several times in the head with the axe and stabbing her in different parts of her body. Sadly, the 80-year-old woman died on the spot from her injuries.
After committing the horrific crime, the man left the house and fled, but was soon found and arrested.
A criminal case has been opened against him for attempted murder and premeditated murder.
