On Wednesday, the leader of Tiraspol, Vadim Krasnoselsky, gave a speech on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Transnistrian region’s Supreme Council, the body that adopts laws. He urged deputies to continue using parliament as a place for healthy discussions, but with the clarification that these discussions should not concern the question of whether Transnistria is an independent state.
In his speech, Krasnoselsky stressed that Transnistria is already an independent state and expressed confidence that sooner or later the international community will recognise its status. He also expressed hope that this moment would come as soon as possible and wished everyone to live to see this bright day. Krasnoselsky stressed that the task of the Supreme Soviet is to bring this moment closer, to support the society and unite it around a common idea.
