President Maia Sandu gave a speech in which she recalled her promises from four years ago regarding job creation and attracting investments into the economy to prevent people from leaving the country.
Sandu emphasized that during this time, support has been provided to over 10,000 local entrepreneurs, and government funding for small and medium-sized businesses has increased fivefold compared to the previous administration, from 200 million to 1.3 billion lei, reports newtv.md.
“The minimum wage has doubled from 2,200 to 5,000 lei, and the average wage has increased from 8,000 to 14,000 lei. Over 65% of our products are sold in the EU market, which brought 47 billion lei to Moldovan producers in 2023 alone,” the president stated.
She also noted that in recent years, Moldovan goods have gained access to the European market, with many now being exported duty-free.
