The majority of families registered on the web platform compensatii.gov.md were in the groups with the highest level of vulnerability, according to a report by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. More precisely, according to the data until 25 November, 33.9% of 719,381 families were considered very vulnerable with the energy category “very high”, 32.4% – “high” and 14.6% – “extremely high”, as reported by tv8.md.
According to the report, 10.7 per cent of families were categorised as “medium” energy vulnerability and 6.3 per cent as “low”. 1.8 per cent were classified as “primary energy vulnerability” and 0.4 per cent did not need assistance as they were considered “no vulnerability”.
Interestingly, 457,913 families registered for bill compensation only, 261,468 for monthly payments of LE 800, and 86,404 families will receive both cash payments and bill compensation.
Most of the families receiving bill compensations were in groups with high and very high energy vulnerability. Those who will receive monthly cash payments are also in the groups with very high and extreme energy vulnerability.
The overall conclusion is that 91.5% of all families registered before 25 November fall into the extreme to medium energy vulnerability categories.
Note that registered users on compensatii.gov.md can already check their energy vulnerability by visiting the website and viewing their personal account. Once their compensation request is approved, they will also receive an SMS notification in the coming days.
