According to expert Andrian Keptonar, Russia plans to use the possible negative result of the referendum on Moldova’s accession to the European Union to install a pro-Russian government after parliamentary elections in 2025. As part of the “Open Dialogue” program, he noted that Russia will intensify the hybrid war against Moldova, seeking to destabilize the political situation in the country. These actions are aimed at preventing Moldova from moving closer to the EU and establishing control over the political situation. Keptonar also warned of the possibility of Russian intervention if a pro-Russian government is installed, which could lead to further destabilization and a threat to regional security.
