In the Friday debates, Inna Coșeru, a deputy from the ruling PAS party, stated that in the 2024 autumn referendum, Moldovans confirmed their desire for EU integration. She emphasized that many Moldovans are also EU citizens, holding Romanian citizenship, and that the majority of those living in the European Union support Moldova’s European path.
In Coșeru’s opinion, despite this, Russia is trying to prevent Moldova from moving toward Europe by using large sums of money to destabilize the situation through lies, manipulation, and propaganda.
The deputy added that the EU provides considerable support to Moldova, without which the country would not have been able to withstand the crisis. She emphasized that citizens need to understand that the EU stands with Moldova and its people.
