The Party of Socialists expresses dissatisfaction with the anti-social policy pursued by the current government. They accuse the PAS party of humiliating pensioners. Last year, when inflation reached 30 per cent, pensions were indexed by only 15 per cent, which caused disappointment and resentment among the elderly.
According to a statement given to actualitati.md, similar tactics continue this year. Despite the government’s promise to index pensions by 6 per cent, the actual indexation will amount to only 4.2 per cent in the context of rising inflation.
Based on the current socio-economic environment created by the PAS party rule and President Sandu, the Party of Socialists plans to propose a bill to amend the law on pensions. They propose to index pensions on 1 April based on the average inflation of the last three years. According to the PSRM, this would significantly increase indexation and provide pensioners with the support they deserve from the state.
