Chișinău has proposed possible solutions to overcome the energy crisis, including alternative methods of gas delivery to Transnistria. However, Tiraspol rejected these proposals, according to the Reintegration Bureau, citing information from ipn.md.
On Friday, at Chișinău’s initiative, a meeting took place at the OSCE Mission headquarters in Bender, where energy experts from both sides of the Dniester discussed the situation.
Chișinău proposed solutions to the crisis, such as the approval and implementation of alternative gas delivery methods to Transnistria through national authorities, in compliance with all necessary norms and regulations. The Reintegration Bureau noted that Tiraspol reacted unconstructively and showed no willingness to address the issues, considering the interests of people on both sides of the Dniester.
At the same time, Tiraspol leader Vadim Krasnoselski accuses Moldovan authorities of blocking gas deliveries to Transnistria and calls on President Maia Sandu to ensure gas deliveries to the left bank of the Dniester. In response, the Presidency clarified that Chișinău does not block gas deliveries and has always been willing to offer all necessary means to implement them.
