The authorities in Chișinău have once again stated that they will not hinder the transit of Russian gas to the left bank of the Dniester. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, in response to recent statements by Vadim Krasnoselski, who sought OSCE’s help, claiming that Moldova is blocking gas supplies. Serebrian rejected these accusations, according to newtv.md.
“Chișinău has been very clear, the president mentioned this at the press conference, and I spoke with the OSCE chairman. We have always been open to the transit of gas, especially in these difficult times. The situation for people there is truly difficult,” he emphasized.
It is worth noting that on January 15, Vadim Krasnoselski announced at a press conference that gas supplies from Russia to Transnistria would soon be resumed. The decision was made after his visit to Moscow, according to local media.
