The national security advisor to the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, Stanislav Sekrieru, stated on social media X (Twitter) that the authorities in the country are observing significant Russian interference in the elections. He emphasized that this interference could distort the voting results.
Sekrieru mentioned that the authorities are on high alert. He cited the example of illegal transportation of voters from Transnistria, which violates Moldova’s electoral code. By 11:00 AM, the turnout of voters from Transnistria had already exceeded the total turnout from the first round.
He also published a photo showing a line of cars crossing the bridge over the Dniester River from Transnistria to Moldova, and reminded that Russia bears responsibility for the situation in this region, as confirmed by decisions from the European Court of Human Rights.
