The European Union delegation in the Republic of Moldova has noted the significant progress the country has made on the path to European Union integration. In their message on social media, they highlighted the achievements reflected in the European Commission’s report from November 2024.
Key accomplishments include changes to national legislation, the implementation of important reforms, and the return of tens of millions of euros stolen from the banking system.
“In two years, Moldova has gained candidate status for EU membership and has started official negotiations. In 2024, the screening process began, aimed at aligning national legislation with EU requirements. Sectoral negotiations will begin in the spring of 2025,” states the EU delegation’s message.
These achievements demonstrate that Moldova is eager to become part of the European Union and strengthen its position on the international stage.
