Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire in the oncology institute in the capital.
In the morning of July 24, at 07:34, there was a call to the 112 Service about a fire in the oncology institute in the capital. Officers of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (GES) arrived at the scene.
The fire occurred on the first floor of a 3-story block of the hospital. Rescuers and firefighters quickly coped with the fire and at 07:54 the fire was extinguished. Fortunately, none of the people were injured, but inside the premises some material valuables were destroyed.
The causes of the fire are currently being investigated. Specialists will conduct an investigation to identify what caused the fire. Thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, it was quickly possible to prevent the spread of fire and protect people in the building of the Institute.
