Rescuers in Taraclia struggle to rescue a man from under a rubble in a well
Employees of the General Inspectorate of Emergency Situations (GIES) are in the process of a complex rescue operation aimed at extracting a 50-year-old man from a well in Taraclia. The incident occurred on July 2 in a private home, and the call to the 112 service was received at 11:43 a.m. Information about this reported GIChS in his telegram channel.
According to preliminary data, the man went down into the well to do the work, but in the process the ground collapsed, completely blocking it. Several teams of GCHS were dispatched to the scene and immediately began rescue operations.
Rescuers have been working day and night without interruption for several days now, and the operation is still ongoing. More than 20 rescuers are at a depth of about 15 meters trying to retrieve the victim. The task is made more difficult by the small diameter of the pipe that they can use to get down into the well, so they have to work very hard to move forward safely to find the man.
At this point, the victim shows no signs of life, indicating the possibility of a fatal outcome. However, rescuers continue their operation in hopes of successfully rescuing the man.
