Labor and Social Protection Minister Alexei Buzu expressed gratitude to the external partners for the assistance, which significantly mitigated the level of social vulnerability in Moldova. He noted that thanks to financial support from abroad, the government was able to help people with low incomes during the cold season.
Referring to the current work in the ministry, Buzu admitted that there are problems with the management of processes, including the payment of monetary compensations to the population. He emphasized the need to accelerate reforms for better management.
Buzu also noted that the digitalization of personal data has greatly simplified and accelerated processes in the ministry. He said that, thanks to the implementation of the electronic document flow, in 2024, parents will be able to receive for the first time in 2024 a 20,000 lei birth allowance without having to apply and submit documents in person. All the necessary documents will be available to the state structures electronically.
Buzu stressed that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection simplifies the processes for citizens, saving them from the need to submit many documents and certificates.
“Now, thanks to digitalization, both citizens and the state receive significant benefits,” the minister concluded.
