A video of a group of teenagers attacking a man and one of them using a hammer is circulating on social media. Laughter can be heard in the background. The incident is reported to have taken place outside a supermarket in the capital. We have contacted police for more information.
Metropolitan police spokeswoman, Natalia Stati, told us that police received a call at 7:40 p.m. on July 11. The caller reported an assault by a group of young men in the parking lot of a store located on Decebal Boulevard. It turned out that the victim was a 38-year-old man who works as a supermarket security guard. He noticed a group of noisy young men and approached them to ask them to be quieter and be careful with their bicycles so as not to damage parked cars.
According to the victim, the young men began to display aggressive behavior and one of them hit him repeatedly with a hammer. The attacker then fled the scene.
The man was given medical assistance, hospitalization was not required. An investigation has been launched into the case, and the police are taking all necessary measures to identify the identity of the young men who committed the crime. The victim was sent for forensic medical examination to determine the severity of his injuries. At present, all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
