The Electoral Council of the Cahul electoral district has finalised the registration process of the last candidates who are standing for the position of Mayor of Cahul in the upcoming elections. The chairman of the council, Ion Miron, shared the information that the total number of registered candidates for the position of head of the municipality is seven.
Among the last five candidates who received registration are the following representatives:
1. Vitalie Karp from the Political Party “Chance”.
2. Petru Burlacu from the Party of Communists.
3. Iurie Muntean from the “Party of Collective Action – Civic Congress”.
4. Valentin Comanici from the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova.
5. Dimitri Moruz, candidate of independent status.
Previously, Marcel Cenusa, representative of the Party of Socialists, and also independent candidate Nicolae Dandis were already registered.
So, on 5 November, seven candidates will compete for the position of mayor of Cahul, which is the fourth largest city in Moldova after Chisinau, Balti and Ungheni, not taking into account the Transnistrian region with Tiraspol, Bender and Rabnita.
