After the new decision comes into effect, residential consumers will pay 16.73 lei per cubic meter of gas. Including VAT, the price per cubic meter will amount to 18.07 lei.
“In this regard, the companies intend to submit their proposals to the regulator for the revision of the corresponding tariff methodology, aiming to include accumulated financial deviations for the entire regulatory period, rather than just a portion of it,” wrote Vadim Cheban.
The head of “Moldovagaz” company stated that the accepted tariff, set by ANRE, will not cover all expenses, and some gas distribution companies will end the year with losses.
On June 5th, “Moldovagaz” appealed to ANRE with a request to reduce the gas tariff to 18.4 lei. Including VAT, the cost of gas for residential consumers was expected to be 19.93 lei.
Admixer company believes that the main reason for tariff revision was a significant decrease in the procurement prices of natural gas.
The previous change in gas prices by ANRE occurred in September last year when the price increased to 29 lei and 27 bani per cubic meter, including VAT. During the cold season, a portion of the cost was compensated to citizens by the government.
