In the first eight months of 2024, state budget revenues amounted to 43.05 billion lei, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Of these revenues, about 18.7 billion lei came from the State Tax Service and 24.5 billion lei from the Customs Service.
Budget expenditures amounted to about 51.1 billion lei, up 1.8 percent, or 899 million lei, compared to the same period in 2023.
The Finance Ministry said that at the end of August 2024, the state budget deficit amounted to just over 8 billion lei.
