The former head of Gagauzia, Irina Vlah, who has returned to politics, has expressed the opinion that Maia Sandu has no chance to run for a second presidential term in Moldova in the 2024 elections. According to Vlah, Sandu will have a competitor in the second round who will be able to beat her, as realitatea.md reports.
When asked whether she will run in next year’s presidential election, Irina Vlah did not give an unequivocal answer, but said that President Sandu will lose the election.
“I don’t want to reveal details, but probably candidates will appear and there will be a second round. Probably, after the second round we will see another president, and it may be a woman,” Irina Vlakh emphasised.
