After an internal investigation conducted by Regia Transport Electric (RTEC), it was decided to dismiss the driver and conductor of the trolleybus. This information was confirmed by RTEC spokeswoman Felicia Rusu, according to a report on agora.md.
The incident occurred on July 24, when a woman said in a Facebook post that she encountered a problem while riding the trolleybus with her 3-year-old and 7-month-old children. The vehicle did not stop at the curb and she asked the conductor to help pull the baby stroller in, but was ignored.
The situation became even more tense when the woman tried to explain why it was necessary to provide assistance for baby strollers and stop closer to the curb. In response, the driver and conductor started yelling and insulting her. The woman said she took out her phone to record what was happening, at which point the conductor became even more aggressive.
Following the incident, RTEC suspended the driver and conductor. The company stressed that it has adopted stricter sanctions for disciplinary violations by its employees and will not tolerate aggressive and unacceptable behavior.
