A Chisinau resident complained about police officers who, according to her, used physical force against her when she tried to stop the evacuation of her car.
According to her story, the police came to the scene to take away the improperly parked car. The woman, Ioana Bobeika, claims that when she tried to get into her car, the policeman pinned her against the car and started hitting her after she accidentally grazed his nose. As a result, her car was towed and she herself was taken to the police station where an ambulance was called. She was later hospitalized with post-traumatic stress disorder.
The police, for their part, claim that the officers themselves were hurt because the woman hit them. They say they used force only after she disobeyed and acted aggressively.
The incident is now being investigated and the perpetrators may be punished.
