The Moldovan Parliament adopted in the first reading a draft law on stimulating the use of e-services, including digital versions of identity cards and driving licences. These documents will be available through the government’s e-services application. The draft law also regulates the online registration of vehicles and the delivery of registration certificates through the state delivery service. The new changes are aimed at improving the accessibility of government services and facilitating the transition to electronic interaction between citizens and the state. There are also plans to introduce unique electronic identifiers to authenticate documents in electronic format. This draft law reflects Moldova’s endeavour to improve public services and reduce paper-based procedures.
