The Ministry of Labour announces that from 13 December, citizens registered in the information system “Energy Vulnerability” will be able to view a calculation that determines their energy vulnerability level. This information is important for those who wish to benefit from lower gas and district heating tariffs.
The system automatically sets an energy vulnerability category for registered households, taking into account the percentage of energy costs and income available to pay. This is important to determine how much energy affects the household budget.
The calculation formula for the 7 vulnerability categories is given:
1. **Non-vulnerable consumers:** Owners of residential property worth more than LE 4 million, who received dividends of more than LE 1 million in the previous year, or those whose energy accounts for less than 5% of income available for payment.
2. **Primary Vulnerability:** Paying energy bills between 5% and 10% of income available for energy payments.
3. **Low Vulnerability:** Energy accounts for 10% to 20% of the income available to pay for energy.
4. **Moderate Vulnerability:** Energy is between 20% and 40% of the income available to pay for energy.
5. **High Vulnerability:** Energy is more than 40% of the income available to pay for energy.
6. **Very High Vulnerability:** Household income is below the minimum consumption basket and 60% above this basket.
7. **Extreme Vulnerability:** Household income below 60 per cent of the value of the minimum consumption basket.
Earlier, on 5 December, the Ministry of Labour published vulnerability levels for those who registered on the platform compensatii.gov.md to use preferential tariffs.
