Moldovan President, Maia Sandu, has expressed her position on the importance of peace over gas prices. She emphasized that the country should not support aggressors for the sake of cheap gas. Meeting with residents of the village of Grimencauts, Briceni district, she discussed energy prices and the importance of reducing the dependence on Russian gas. The President says it is important to stay on the good side of the world, cooperating with democratic countries and striving for integration into the European Union.
In addition, during a meeting with residents of the village of Drepkauci, she discussed the problem of opening markets for small farmers, pension issues and the need for communities to monitor local development projects. Within the European Village Program, two projects are being implemented in the village: providing water to a kindergarten and equipping a playground.
Discussing the problems of agriculture and the impact of global warming on farms, Maia Sandu put forward the idea of building irrigation systems as one of the solutions.
