The prosecutor’s office checked this information and carried out searches. Searches took place not only in Chisinau but also in other areas of Moldova. As a result of the searches, it was found that cosmetic products were illegally imported from Ukraine. In particular, botulinum toxin (“botox”) was imported, which is a contraband product. In addition, it was transported in inadequate conditions. After that, the substance was used in some cosmetic clinics in Chisinau and other areas of the country. Currently, law enforcement agencies continue to investigate this case. Details of the case are not yet reported to avoid impeding the investigation.
