President Maia Sandu is making an official visit to Portugal from 2 to 4 October, aimed at supporting Moldova in its bid to join the European Union and strengthening bilateral relations. During this trip, she also plans to meet with Moldovan citizens living in Portugal.
On 5 October, President Sandu will participate in the summit of the European Political Community, which will be held in Granada, Spain. At this event, she and her European counterparts will discuss issues related to the future of the European continent, as well as Moldova’s path towards EU membership and the ongoing reforms in the country.
This summit is a continuation of the previous one, which took place on 1 June 2023 in Moldova and brought together 49 European leaders to discuss important European issues.
